Public transportation has become very familiar to residents in major cities, and these vehicles also play a crucial role in reducing traffic congestion and pollution. In recent days, the capital city Hanoi has introduced another type of public transportation, that is bicycles

Simply by installing the app on your phone, you can use the public bicycle service

Both promoting physical fitness and environmental conservation, public bicycles like these are attracting the attention of many residents and tourists in the capital city of Hanoi.

Ms. Quyên, a Hanoi resident, has opted to ride a bike to visit some of the city's attractions with friends. She chose public bicycles, both to try out the experience and to become acquainted with this new form of public transportation

According to observations, the majority of those who have experienced it are young people. To unlock the bikes, one needs to install an app on their phone and scan a QR code. Older people who are not familiar with technology also have a more familiar way of using it.

Chairman of Trí Nam Group, Mr. Đỗ Bá Dân, said, 'For older individuals, they can access the service using a tapgo card. They simply need to hold the card and swipe it to use any bike. In the initial phase, we will focus on this, and for phase 2, we will have further plans.

In the initial phase of the project, nearly 80 locations in 6 inner districts were selected to place bicycles to serve the needs of the residents. Riding bicycles will generate less noise and air pollution. With the support of the people, these public bicycles will undoubtedly make the capital city greener, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly.

A small action but will bring positive effects, forming a green lifestyle and green consumption. The development of a public bicycle transportation system in Hanoi at this point is essential. It gradually changes people's commuting habits, initially forming a supportive network that connects residents to convenient bus stops instead of the traditional walking method. This is also a solution to reduce environmental pollution caused by dust and emissions from personal vehicles, leveraging the strengths of the capital city's public transportation system. It plays a significant role in achieving Vietnam's Net Zero by 2050 goal.
